ELF Lubricants and Alpine Racing have renewed their partnership in the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) based on a multi-year contract. The Alpine A424s, sporting ELF colors, will join the highly competitive Hypercar class in the eight races of the 2024 season calendar, including the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A legacy of podium finishes
Since 1968, ELF lubricants have been linked to the sporting trajectory of the Alpine brand. This partnership has been rewarded with several titles, including the Constructors' title in the World Rally Championship in 1973, a Drivers-Constructors double in 1974 in the European Sports Car Championship, and a prestigious victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1978.
Alpine, with ELF, also distinguished itself in the LMP2 category with two European champion titles (2013, 2014), two FIA WEC Endurance Trophies (2016, 2019), and three victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2016, 2018, 2019).
A shared passion, a proven formula
The two A424 prototypes, like all competitors in the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will run with Excellium Racing 100, the 100% sustainable fuel from TotalEnergies.
This partnership is a testament to ELF and Alpine's shared passion for technological excellence and competition. It provides the perfect platform to demonstrate ELF lubricants' performance, reliability, fuel savings, and emissions reduction.
