Elf Marc VDS Racing Team unveils its plans for 2024
On January 16, 2024, the Château de Modave in Belgium was the venue for the official presentation of the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team's exciting plans for 2024. The team is ready to fight for glory in Moto2 and WorldSBK this season. The presentation included the reveal of the team's instantly recognizable livery, featuring bright colors and eye-catching patterns, and was attended by the entire team as well as key sponsors and partners.
The team has been a proud participant in Moto2 since its introduction in 2010. This year marks the team's 15th consecutive season in the Triumph-powered class. Italian rider Tony Arbolino, a finalist in 2023, will spearhead the Elf Marc VDS Racing team with newcomer Filip Salac on Kalex machines.
The Elf Marc VDS Racing team is delighted to be partnering Czech rider Salac, who will be assisted in his quest for success in 2024 by experienced team leader Gilles Bigot.
The Elf Marc VDS Racing team will write a new chapter in its success story in 2024 with an ambitious expansion to compete in the WorldSBK championship for the first time.
A familiar face will lead the team's quest for success in WorldSBK, with Sam Lowes switching from Moto2 to a Ducati Panigale V4 R machine. After a decade of Grand Prix participation, the last four of which were spent as an integral member of the Elf Marc VDS Racing team, Lowes returns to the WorldSBK paddock where he was crowned World Supersport champion in 2013.
